OUTLOOK
Behind a historically great season from Neilan, the Wolves won the 9A State Championship in 2017. He led the state with 15 wins and was also a big contributor offensively. Timber Creek will rely on him at the front of the rotation again to lead the way in 2018. They will also rely on senior Preston Schumacher who was 3-4 with 3 saves in 2017 with a 3.28 ERA. He also pitched a complete game shutout in the championship game for the Wolves. Offensively, they will have to replace their best hitter in average, RBI, hits and second in runs in Cameron Meehan, Looking to help fill his shoes will be Parker Smith, who batted .288 with 15 RBI and Marcos Roque who bated .333 with 13 RBI in 2017. The experience and dominate performance of Neilan in 2017 bring Timber Creek in at No 18 in the Preseason Power25.
