Scouting Report

08/16/17- Coming off a quality showing at the Future Games, the strong left handed hitter continues to show the ability to drive the ball especially to his pull side. He has a strong lower half and projects to have left handed power. He will need to continue to improve defensively behind the plate, but the actions are there and as he continues to improve flexibility and put himself in better positions the defense will continue to improve as well.

08/06/17- The 6-foot-1, 205-pound C/1B has a strong lower half. Defensively, he shows potential behind the plate. The hads work well and he has a strong durable frame. He could improve flexibility and this would help with setup and getting everything in a better position to receive and use the strong shoulders and hands more efficiently. He had pop times ranging from 2.03-2.12, with a strong arm these will continue to improve as he learns to shorten his transfer to release and improve his footwork. What really stands out for Goldstein is the power potential from the left side. He has a wide, strong base that he uses extremely well. He had the best exit velocity of anyone on Team Florida at 95 mph. He has present strength with room to grow and has prent pull power with more to come. This translated into a double over the right-fielder’s head in game three. The bat will play and with it being left-handed and power potential, he will be intriguing to coaches.

07/15/17- Currently ranked No. 94 in the Florida 2019 Class. Stands at 6-foot-1, 205 pounds with a strong, solid frame. At the plate shows a balanced approach and displays the ability to make hard contact and drive the ball with authority to the pull side. Ball jumps off the bat. Shows solid defensive actions around the bag at first, fields the ball out in front. Also has stood out from behind the plate with an accurate arm to the bag.

12/7/14 SF Elite tryout - Thick stocky strong body. Quickness and strength in bat at a very young age. Has some length and lift in swing. Good hand eye and good approach. Took a very good BP. Did not see in game. Will be an impact LH power bat.
