Palm Beach Central Wins Back and Forth Battle

A matchup between Jupiter Warriors and Palm Beach Central Broncos would be a back and forth affair that ultimately the Broncos would win 6-5.

2022 Freddy Rodriguez would play a huge role in the win for Palm Beach Central. His second inning single would give them their first lead, then his bunt single on the 4th would give them their second lead of the game. Finally, his single in the 7th would ultimately be the game winner, extending the lead to 6-4 at the time.

Jupiter would fight back throughout the game. Led by sophomore lead off hitter Mason Barela, who would have a pair of hits and score one run. Jupiter would score three in the fifth off of an error and sacrifice fly, before ultimately surrendering the lead. 

2024 Mason Barela continues to impress in game. Had an infield single in the first at bat and gets things going with this single as well.

The Warriors offense was led by Barela as well as Joey Urban, Jesse Sullivan and Tyler Johnson who all had multiple hits. 

The big bat and draft prospect Cameron Smith of Palm Beach Central would flick his wrists on a two strike off-speed pitch and drive the ball through the wind to the left center field fence for a triple. The Warriors would avoid him in the remaining at-bats, walking him four times. The long, lean middle infielder looked the part of a top draft pick. The swing was simple and adjustable with a lot of present bat to ball skills with plenty of upside remaining. He moved athletically at short and could see him staying on the infield.

Overall, a hard fought game by both teams that would ultimately see the Palm Beach Central Broncos victorious 6-5 and advancing to the next round of the playoffs.
