The 2017 Future Games came to a close on Saturday, but not before all of the uncommitted players had a chance to perform one more time in front of over 250 college recruiters. There were many pitchers who came back after throwing on the first day of games with most looking more comfortable the second time around. Not to be outdone, the position players felt the same comfort at the pristine, Grand Park, outside of Indianapolis. Many players capped off stellar weeks with an exclamation point with some, even, picking up scholarship offers, and committing to the university of their choice. Overall, it was an incredible experience had by all the players, college coaches, and PBR staff. In coming days and weeks, more thoughts and content from the event as a whole will make their way into, On the Hunt, but for this edition, here are some notes from Day 4:

Briar Stinson OF / 3B / Rushville-Industry, IL / 2020

Stinson was one of the prospects that I was most excited to see coming into the Future Games, and after hitting two doubles during the first game for Team Illinois, he finished the last game with a screaming line drive up the middle that may have been the hardest hit ball of the entire event as it came off of an 89 mph fastball. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound outfielder has a long, athletic frame and wiry-strength throughout. He has twitchy actions both in the field and at the plate, where he demonstrates a short stroke with advanced quickness in his hands. Bearing down on him over the course of four days, Stinson is going to have a chance to hit for even more power in the future, and combined with his speed, he is likely to be one of the most coveted prospects in the 2020 class.

Tre' Morgan 1B / OF / Brother Martin , LA / 2020

Morgan looked the part of a future, power-hitting first baseman during batting practice on Wednesday. His 6-foot, 180-pound frame appears to still be developing, so it makes it easy for scouts to dream on what might be. He continued to perform well in games throughout the week, and on the final day had no problem lacing two singles off impressive, upper-eighties velocity. His barrel looks like it stays in the zone forever, and combined with his quick, strong hands, the ball jumps off his bat to all fields.

Clark Elliott SS / OF / Barrington, IL / 2019

Elliott capped off an excellent showing at the Future Games with a bomb triple to right field that landed at the base of the fence. He showcases an uphill path with quick hands, and lag through the zone. I was impressed with his consistent hard times to first throughout the week, and his speed may be best utilized in the outfield at the next level. The athletic, 6-foot, 165-pounder is balanced at the plate, and his raw strength allows him to drive line drives to all fields with occasional pull side power.
