North Florida Junior Series 14u Recap

The PBR/USSSA North Florida Junior Series Championship took place Saturday, September 28th and Sunday, September 29th at Jonesville Park in Gainesville, FL. The tournament featured eight teams from Florida and one from Georgia. After an exciting weekend of baseball, Gatorball came away as the tournament champion. Today, we take a look at a recap from the 14u division featuring stats, video, and standouts.

Athletic middle infielder who moved well in both games. Impressed on the mound with 7 shutout innings. Fastball up to 71.

Strong bodied catcher. Stood out defensively as an above average defender for his age. Present strength offensively and showed an aggressive approach and a feel to hit.
ProBall BlackLong, lean athletic frame. Athleticism plays in the outfield where he shows present range and a live arm. Level, short swing and feel for the barrel.

Powerful hitter, led the tournament with 9 hits and 5 extra base hits. Also contributed with 8 RBI.

Ocala Elite
Quick, athletic outfielder. Constantly getting on base. Led the tournament with 8 stolen bases
Midland Swarm Savages
Athletic outfielder, used quick hands to turns on a couple balls. Multiple hits and stolen bases. Up to 75 on the mound as well

Stocky third baseman, showed power to all fields with multiple extra base hits. Barreled balls all weekend with hard contact each time.

Athletic shortstop, moves athletically with advanced feel in the infield, offensively has a simple line drive lefty swing. Above average quickness
Utility player, played INF/OF/RHP. Solid contact hitter with a simple swing. Multiple hits for the weekend. Was up to 73 mph on the mound.
GatorballWas 2-3 with an RBI and a double in his first game. The left handed hitter showed an ability to turn the barrel and present leverage from the left side.

Physical right-handed hitter. Hit a bases clearing double in the championship game to deep center. Strong and present strength plays offensively.

The left hander pounded the zone for 3.1 innings in the first round of the playoffs. Rivera would allow one run on no hits and strike out nine as the Hardballers would win 10-2.
Senea would lead the Hardballers offense in game one of the playoffs going 2-3 with two runs and three RBIs.
Next LevelAthletic two way player, led the offense in game one for Next Level. He would go 2-2 with a run and two RBIs while also showing well in relief on the mound.
