Orlando, FL—It was a pitchers’ duel in today’s matchup with Lake Nona HS, FL, against Colonial HS, FL. 2016 RHP Robin Allen (Lake Nona), an Eckerd College recruit, went up against 2016 RHP Adam Reis (Colonial), a Seminole State JC recruit, and they both held their respective opponents scoreless until the fifth inning. 2016 C Edgar Brito (Lake Nona) blooped a pop fly to short right field for a double followed by an errant throw on a routine ground ball that led to the only run of the game. Allen threw a shutout with 11 strikeouts, giving up only four hits and no walks. His counterpart, Reis threw five innings with no walks, two hits and one unearned run. He struck out seven.
