Junior Future Game Trials: Team Florida Invitees

There were a lot of talented players in attendance, many whom have bright futures as they continue to mature and grow within the game. Although, seven players players stood out above the rest, earning invites to the 13/14u Junior Future Games. Below we take a look at those players.

Andrew Duncan OF / OF / Palm harbor university , FL / 2023Duncan was perhaps the most intriguing overall athlete. Led the way statistically in four offensive categories. Ran a 6.85 60 yard dash, was 80 mph across the infield, 81 mph from the outfield, and 83 mph exit velocity. The athlete looks the part, especially in the outfield, where he comes through the ball well and throws were accurate with carry. Offensively, he has a lot of upside with present bat speed and will have a major upside.

Jacob Riegel SS / 1B / N/A, FL / 2023Rigel first stood out with his well above average gait, with easy strides, in the 60 yard dash running a 7.19 60 yard dash. The hands work well defensively, but the offense was advanced for his age. Stands tall, simple, level while creating leverage and consistently staying on the barrel. Also jumped on the mound and showed a very tough low 3/4 to near sidearm slot at 74-76 mph.

Wyatt Jenkins SS / 2B / Mckeel Academy , FL / 2023The strong bodied infielder showed solid defensive actions, moving well and showing an above average arm. Really stood out offensively, where he stands tall and cleared the strong lower half showing ability to drive the ball from gap to gap.

Paul Guerne LHP / OF / Calvary Christian, FL / 2023At 5-foot-10, 160 pounds there is present strength with plenty of room to grow as he matures. The physical two-way player showed strength from the left side offensively and the arm worked very clean on the mound, working up to 80 mph.

Cameron Mallo SS / 2B / Hillsborough, FL / 2024The athletic middle infielder, moved well defensively. He has a quick first step, moves athletically and the hands work well. Offensively, he has a compact, level swing with present bat speed for his age. There is a feel for the barrel and overall athleticism that stood out.

McCall Biemiller LHP / OF / N/A, FL / 2024The long, lanky OF/LHP showed a lot of potential. Really stood out offensively, where he uses his long levers, creating leverage and shows power potential for his age. The arm also worked on the mound at 70-72 mph.

Andrew White OF / RHP / Seminole, FL / 2024The 5-foot-10, 150 pound outfielder showed a lot of upside. He is compact offensively, while also sinking into the lower half, showing bat to ball skills and present power for age. Had the best exit velocity of his class at 79 mph. Offensively, comes through the ball with athleticism and had the best arm in the class at 78 mph.
