After highlighting the Florida 2018-2020 classes over the past couple weeks through rankings updates, risers, newcomers, and more, today we look at the remaining class in the 2021s. This is the first release of rankings for the 2021 class and features an initial Top 25.

This particular class looks like it could be a strong one as eight of the first 10 players ranked have already committed to play at the next level. In fact, Miami has verbal commitments from six of the top eight.

Below is a breakdown on the top three followed by a look at the initial top 10:

Alejandro Rosario RHP / 3B / Miami Christian, FL / 2021 Rankings  State Rank:1 POS:1 Overall Rank:3 POS:1 Miami recruit. Stands at 6 foot-170 pounds, but looks taller with a high waist and long arms. He throws from a 3/4 slot and his arm is extremely loose and easy. The fastball jumps out of his hand, working at 89-91 with arm-side life. He flashes a hard, sweeping slider that has tight spin and the potential to be an above average pitch.

Irving Carter RHP / C / Trinity Christian Academy, FL / 2021 Rankings  State Rank:2 POS:2 Overall Rank:11 POS:6 Miami recruit. Stands at 6-foot-2, 180 pounds with a projectable, athletic build. Features a fastball in the 83-85 mph range, touching 86 and 88. He also works in a curveball that sits 70-72 mph and a change up at 75-76 mph.

Jayden Melendez C / Wesminster, FL / 2021 Rankings  State Rank:3 POS:1 Overall Rank:13 POS:3 Florida International recruit. Athletic catcher who has present defensive tools and has a chance to be a plus defensive catcher. Offensively, the right-handed hitter has a strong lower half and a short, level swing. There is some present physicality and will have a chance to hit for future power.
