Scouting Report: Big athletic live body. Very athletic for his size. Ran a 6.55 60. Loose actions with soft hands in infield with an avg ML arm. Not a true SS but will be an above avg defender at 3B. Short quick stroke with above avg power. Good bat speed with a good path. Gets hands started a bit late and lacks rhythm but quickness in hands allow the barrel to get there most of the time. Could be a good draft but will have to buy out of Duke.

Sebring Report: Kone has a tall, live and physical frame at 6-foot-3, 195 pounds. He’s very athletic for his size. He has loose actions with an average arm and is a plus runner. He ran a 6.55-second 60. He’s not a true shortstop, but is athletic enough to play third base, second base or even the outfield. He needs to improve the rhythm in his swing as his trigger is often late, but his hands are quick enough to get the barrel to the ball most of the time. He makes a lot of hard contact.

Outlook: Coming off a big high school season, Kone showed off his athleticism in Sebring running a 6.55 60. Could be a top round talent in next weeks draft if someone thinks they can sign him away from Duke.
