Hit Factory Scout Day: Standouts

PBR Florida hosted a scout day for Hit Factory this past Sunday, September 15 at Wellswood Little League in Tampa, FL. This event featured 2019-2024 players from Hit Factory participating in a pro-style workout in front of the PBR Florida Scouting Staff. Today, we take a look at some of the standouts from last week's event.

Kian Knutson OF / 2B / Tampa Catholic, FL / 2020Athletic and strong frame at 6 foot 1, 185 pounds. Showed a strong arm from the outfield with 85 velo and carry on throws and accurate. Quality first step on routes and showed an above average 60 time with 6.8. Showed a short and compact swing that he repeated easily with gap to gap style of hitter and pull side power.

Jalen Niles SS / 2B / Tampa Jesuit , FL / 2020Athletic and lanky frame at 6 foot, 145 pounds. Quality first step in the infield and good range with an average arm, Has soft hands with a smooth transfer on ground balls. Has a tall setup at the plate and barrels up baseballs with a level bat path and line drive hitter.

Dominic DeCarlo SS / OF / Tampa Jesuit , FL / 2021Athletic frame at 5 foot 8, 175 pounds. Quality first step on defense in the outfield and infield. Has soft hands with smooth transfer and average arm velo. Has a tall setup at the plate with a leg kick to create rhythm in the swing and level bat path with pull side power.

Cole Russo 3B / 1B / Jesuit, FL / 2021Athletic and strong frame at 6 foot 1, 205 pounds. Showing strong arm across the infield with 85 velo and quality footwork fielding ground balls with soft and smooth hands. Has a tall setup at the plate with a slight leg kick to create rhythm in the swing and power to all fields and above average on the pull side.

Roman Corinti 3B / 1B / TBD, FL / 2024Athletic frame and moves well in the infield with soft hands and smooth transfer on ground balls. Has a balanced setup at the plate with a level bat path and barrels up the baseball and big upside as a player.
