The 2019 PBR Future Games took place July 31-August 3 at LakePoint in Cartersville, GA. The event was filled with the top uncommitted 2021 and 2022 players in the country. The players participated in a pro-style workout and three games in front of all the PBR staff and over 300 college coaches. This week and next, we will be spotlighting each of the 25 players from Team Florida at the Future Games. Next up is 2021 SS/2B Joseph Phan (Somerset Canyons Academy).

Scouting Report
Gap to gap pop and bat to ball ability stands out with Phan. Has some smoothness and athleticism on defense with a strong arm as well, but the bat will get him to the next level. Thick, athletic frame, 7.46 runner. Simple in his approach and quiet in his load leads to consistent hard contact. Keeps the barrel in the zone through contact and showed the ability to drive the ball into both gaps. Hands are advanced on both sides of the ball, with good bat control on offense and quick transfers on defense. Will fit in well at a mid-major D1. 88 mph exit velocity, 80 mph arm across the infield. May wind up sticking at 3B at the next level.
