Florida Program Invitational: Day 3 Scout Blog

The Inaugural Florida Program Invitational continued at IMG Academy with action all day from the 14u, 15u, 16u, and 18u divisions. The tournament will last four days with a winner in each division determined on Sunday. After all four divisions have been decided, there will be an overall program winner as well. Today, we will take a look at our Scout Notes from Day 3 at the Florida Program Invitational. See who stood out to our PBR Florida Scouts.

Anderson Adler SS / JW Mitchell, FL / 2022Adler pitched a gem in the quarterfinals against the Dodgers. Lean athletic two-way guy. Would go seven innings of one run ball. Allowing four hits with seven strikeouts. Fastball at 82-85.

Jayce Brandes 2B / SS / Merritt Island , FL / 2025Branes has led the way for Canes 14u going 5-13. Very bright future as he has a frame that can add plenty o f strength. Natural feel to hit and stays compact through the zone with above average bat speed for his class and present leverage.

Tommy Brice SS / RHP / Episcopal, FL / 2024Rankings StateRank: 80 / POS: 21
Brice has looked really good this week. Balanced, on time, short level swing with a feel to hit. Was 4-7 coming into Saturday and went 1-3 with an RBI triple. Continues to barrel the baseball.

Continues to have a big week offensively for the Scorps. Advanced physicality for his class. Shows power potential as he launched a two-run homer in a 6-1 Scorps win.

Mason Denmark RHP / 3B / Zephyrhills, FL / 2025Another really impressive young arm. Athletic, also hitting at top of the order. Clean, quick arm from a 3/4 slot. Mostly 80, T82 with some late arm side life.

Ryan Fry RHP / 3B / Wharton , FL / 2022The Miami commit looked the part Saturday with a 4 pitch mix. Life on the FB throughout outing getting swings and misses. Commanded SL for strikes in zone and also low/away. FB: 87-91CB: 73-75 SL: 77-79 CH: 78-80

Troy commit has made a nice jump physically in the last year. Gap to gap approach at the plate with the ability to spray the ball hard to all fields. Got into one as he launched a homerun late in the 7th as the Scorps tried making a comeback. Doubled earlier as well.

6-foot-1 170 lbs. Hay showed some life on the FB getting up to 88 mph. Attacks the strike zone w/ 3 pitch mix. Comfortable commanding CH for K’s, CB flashed depth. FB: 84-88

Jackson Hoyt LHP / OF / Nature Coast , FL / 2025Interesting young arm in LHP Jackson Hoyt. Projectable frame with a long/strong arm that competes with the FB sitting 81-83 mph. 7 K’s thru 3 IP. |
Alex Lodise SS / 3B / Bartram Trail, FL / 2022Rankings StateRank: 97 / POS: 16
Stood out all spring at SS and also this weekend. Made multiple tough plays in the last 3 days and another one here in extra innings. Present arm strength at SS with range and athleticism.

Valentine Lopez 3B / RHP / Servite, CA / 2025A physical young man to follow. Some present feel and working 78-82. Quality tempo and repeats mechanics well for age.

Long, lean and projectable frame. Up tempo, able to repeat. Holding 86-87 T88 with some arm side life. Had 6 Ks through 4.

Reinaldo Plasencia SS / 3B / Imater Academy , FL / 2022Physical 6-foot-1, 185 pound frame. Uncommitted 2022 has swung it well this week for the Canes. Shows power potential and the ability to launch as he drove a two-run homer early on Saturday.

Isaac Williams RHP / RHP / Fleming Island, FL / 2022Strong 6-foot-2, 205 pound frame. Florida ProCase standout continues to show a heavy riding fastball. Loose, easy arm action out of a 3/4 slot. Works the FB with armside run to both sides of the plate flashing an abv avg CB. FB: 89-92 T93
