Florida Diamond Club Analysis: North

The Florida Diamond Club Showcase was held Friday, October 4th through Sunday, October 6th at Joker Marchant Stadium in Lakeland, Florida. The event featured three days of pro-style workouts and game-play featuring the top 2020 and 2021 players in the state of Florida. The players were separated into four different teams, North, South, East, and West. Today, we take a look at the player analysis of the North team (Red Sox).
North (Red Sox)
Asher Akridge (Santa Fe, OF)
2020 committed to FIU, 6-foot-4, 165 pound outfielder. Lanky frame. Tall setup with a toe-tap stride. Average bat speed. Average arm from the outfield.
Austin Amaral (University Orange City, RHP)
2020 committed to Stetson, 6-foot-1, 190 pound RHP. Comes from a high ¾ arm slot. Repeatable delivery. Fastball sat 90-93 mph. Slider at 74-76 mph.
Jackson Baumeister (Bolles, C/RHP)
2021 committed to Florida State, 6-foot-3, 210 pound C/RHP. Tall, athletic frame. Balanced setup with a short stride to the ball. Simple approach with a gap-to-gap swing. Showed pull-side power. Above average arm behind the plate. Pop times of 1.92-2.00.
Zack Bennett (Spruce Creek, RHP)
2020 committed to UCF, 6-foot-5, 210 pound RHP. Big, physical frame. Worked from the stretch only. Comes from a high ¾ arm slot. Fastball sat 86-88 mph. Showed a 12/6 curveball at 78 mph.
Devin Burkes (Villages Charter, C)
2020 committed to Kentucky, 6-foot-3, 200 pound catcher. Athletic frame. Crouched setup with a level line drive swing. Keeps his hands inside well. Defensively showed pop times of 1.95-2.00.
