As we continue the breakdown of the Florida 2019 Class, today we look at some of the newcomers in the recently updated Rankings. Below are reports on four of the players who earned a spot:

Major Posey, RHP, North Florida Christian, FL
Moving into the No. 19 spot is the 6-foot-3, 185 pounder who has a projectable frame with big hands, wide shoulders, and room to fill out. The uncommitted sophomore displays a fastball that sits in the 83-85 mph range, but has ran it up to 87 several times recently. Also throws a power changeup at 76-77 mph with serious late sink. It is already a plus pitch and throws it with confidence. Will continue to be a high follow with a lot of upside.

Kendall Williams, RHP/3B, IMG Academy, FL
Moving into the No. 20 spot is the Vanderbilt recruit who currently stands at 6-foot-6, 180 pounds with a tall, lean frame with long legs. High ¾ to over the top arm action. The fastball sits at mostly 87-88 mph that has some life along with a 78-79 mph changeup and a 72-73 mph slider that has depth and shape. More velocity to come as he logs more innings on the mound and fills out his frame. At times can be inconsistent on his landing and follow through. Plays solid defense with a strong arm from third base, but still stands up to make the throw across the diamond, Swing can get a little long at the plate, but shows some pull side pop with quick hands through the zone.

Rese Brown, RHP, Lake Brantley HS, FL
Moving into the No. 39 spot is the 6-foot-1, 205-pounder with a strong frame and broad shoulders. The uncommitted sophomore shows a clean arm action from a high ¾ slot. The fastball ranges from 85-88 mph with heavy, late life. He also shows a feel for the straight changeup at 72-73 mph and a tight slider at 77-78 mph. There is a lot of upside and the arm action works which should make for a big jump as he continues to log innings on the mound.

Hunter Patteson, LHP, Vero Beach HS, FL
Moving into the No. 52 spot is the high-waisted left hander that has a frame you like to see in a pitcher standing at 6-foot-3, 170 pounds. The uncommitted sophomore is lean with wide shoulders. Although there are some things that can be cleaned up, the arm works and the fastball sits at 82-85 mph with the potential to make a big jump. He also shows a  feel for the curveball at 71-74 mph along with a changeup at 70-71 mph with a good armspeed. Overall, despite some mechanical flaws, the arm and projectability is there to make him a high follow.
