The top player in the state continues to be uncommitted SS Jacob Lombard. The physical infielder looks the part at 6-foot-1, 180 pounds. Jacob saw his brother George get taken in the first round of the 2023 Draft, and is looking to follow in his footsteps. Mature actions all around, Jacob has a chance to stick at short and has a true ability to impact the baseball. Consistent hard hit balls and bat speed that should translate to future power. Lombard will have a strong following from college coaches throughout the next year.
Coming in at number two is OF Brady Harris. Harris, a Florida recruit, has some of the best tools in the entire class. Quick hands at the plate and has already started to tap into his power potential. Harris is an impact bat and will be a true center fielder. Rangy and athletic, Harris oozes projection and will be a strong name to follow in this class.
Number three in the Florida 2026 class is uncommitted RHP Wilson Andersen. Wilson has impressed on the mound since he was 13 years old and continues to make the jumps we thought he would. Has added noticeable strength in 2023 now listed at 6-foot-3, 185 pounds. Fastball has been up to 92 mph already. His secondary has shown flashes with ability to get swings and misses with the breaking ball. Andersen continues to tick up and is one of the top arms in the country.
Coming in at number four is OF Lorenzo Laurel. Another talented prospect in the Gators 2026 recruiting class, Laurel is an uber athlete. Physical frame with strength and aggression at the plate. Laurel’s hands work well at the plate with the ability to use the whole field to his advantage. Power potential will continue to develop with his strength.
Rounding out the top five is a riser in 3B/RHP Coleman Borthwick. The Auburn Tigers recruit has an imposing frame on the diamond. Standing 6-foot-6, 240 pounds, Borthwick is as physical as they come in the 2026 class. A true-two way with real tools on both sides. Raw power potential offensively. Looks to do damage producing upper 90s exit velocities on contact. On the mound, Borthwick has been up to 91 with his fastball and has high spin on his slider (2500+). Big ceiling on both sides of the diamond.
