Summer 2022 is officially in the books as we now head into the Fall. With the Future Games and Area Code Games behind us, we’re back to rankings season. Check out our latest 2024 state rankings. Plenty of movement up and down these rankings with a bunch of newcomers.

The top spot in the Florida 2024 rankings remains RHP Chase Mobley (Plant City). At 6-foot-5, 190 pounds, the FSU commit screams projection. Fastball in the low 90s with more to come. Quick arm, ball jumps out the hand. Advanced changeup and feel to spin the breaking ball. Also, one of the younger players in the class as he just turned 16.

Moving up to No. 2 in the class is RHP Schuyler Sandford (Bartram Trail). Long, lean frame at 6-foot-4, 200 pounds. Super quick, clean arm action running the fastball up to 93 mph and will continue to jump. Sharp breaking ball. Tons of projection here for the recent Florida commit.

No. 3 in the state is SS Manuelle Marin (Elite Squad Academy). Tennessee commit has a lean, athletic frame at 6-foot-1, 175 pounds. Rangy defender with above average hands at short. Above average actions and arm strength will help Marin stick at short. Simple line drive hitter with juice off the bat.

At No. 4 is OF Fabio Peralta (Slam Charter) who continues to rise. 6-foot-2, 170 pounds. The top outfielder in the state is a true center fielder. Left/left. Above average runner. Rangy defender. Long limbs create leverage in the bat path with power potential. Miami commit.

Rounding out the top five is LHP/OF Talan Bell (Hagerty). Bell is a true two-way prospect that has added strength to his frame. 5-foot-11, 175 pounds. Up to 91 from the left side. Changeup and breaking ball have a chance to be above average. Swings it well from the left side with potential for power.

Other Notables + Risers

Just outside the top five is 3B Andre Modugno (IMG Academy). Duke commit from Jersey is a freak athlete at 6-foot-5, 195 pounds. 6.6 runner. Plus arm across the diamond with above average hands. Big time power potential at the plate with elite bat speed.

A riser in the 2024 class continues to be C Hunter Carns (First Coast). The FSU commit is 6-foot-1, 180 pounds. Present hit tool with above average bat speed. Solid runner and defender behind the plate. Top 2024 catching prospect in the state.

Jumping into the top ten for the first time is 3B/RHP Kolt Myers (Bartram Trail). Recent Florida commit sits 6-foot-2, 185 pounds with physicality. Mature hitter with juice off the bat and power potential. Solid defender at 3B. Fastball up to 90 with quality secondary stuff. Strong two-way follow.

Another 2024 riser is 3B Thomas Bly (Sickles). The Louisville commit is advanced physically at 6-foot-4, 210 pounds and really looks the part. Bly has some of the biggest power potential in the class with easy bat speed. Present hit tool with a big power ceiling.

SS Chris Davila (Sandalwood) was one of the biggest standouts for Team Florida at the 2022 PBR Future Games. Lean, athletic frame at 5-foot-11, 170 pounds. Rangy defender with above average hands at short. Lefty bat creates leverage in the path with loose hands. Gap to gap hitter with quick hands. Shouldn’t stay uncommitted for too long.
