Florida 2023 Rankings Update
April 8, 2021
We are back with another rankings update this Spring. Today, we turn to the class of 2023. With the National Rankings coming out soon, it was time to update the Florida Class of 2023. The Class of 2023 is filled with young and upcoming stars who are making big impacts on their varsity clubs this spring. This class is loaded with talent at every position, but what stands out the most is the amount of lefty arms and two-way guys we have. This will be a fun class to continue to follow throughout the next two years.
The top of the class remains the same. 3B/OF/RHP Aidan Miller (JW Mitchell, Arkansas) continues to be the leader of this class. The Arkansas commit might have the best hit tool in the entire class with tremendous timing and ability to launch the ball to all fields. Backed by his 93 mph fastball, Miller stands out as the top two-way talent in the state. SS Cade Kurland (Berkeley Prep, Florida) remains at No. 2. The top middle infielder in the state continues to show above average defense at short this spring and electric hands at the plate. Has some of the best bat speed in his class that allows him to get to any pitch and find the barrel. 3B Braden Holcomb (Foundation Academy, Vanderbilt) continues to hold down the No. 3 spot in the state. Imposing 6-foot-4, 215 pound frame and has some of the biggest power in the whole class.
C Brady Neal (IMG Academy, LSU) has been on a tear this spring since his move to IMG. Has been an impact bat in the middle of an extremely talented IMG lineup and handles some of the best pitching in the country very well behind the plate. Rounding out the top 5 is SS Stone Russell (IMG Academy, Florida). Russell is another starting sophomore on a loaded IMG team. Gap to gap hitter with power potential as he continues to get stronger.
