FL Preseason All-State Spotlight: Jordan Taylor

The Florida Preseason All-State has quickly become the premier Preseason event in the state of Florida. Over the first two years there have been over 100 committed players in attendance and counting. This event is held for the top 2019s-2022s throughout the state to kick off the Prep Baseball Report's spring high school baseball coverage.
We will begin to spotlight each and every player in attendance. Today, we look at OF/RHP Jordan Taylor (St. Johns Country Day, 2022). The Florida State commit is currently ranked No. 3 in the state of Florida.

1/2/19 - Committed to Florida State
11/10/18 - 6-foot-2, 170-pound lanky, athletically-built two-way prospect. Defensively, arm works athletically from high ¾ slot, some effort in upper half, 86 mph. Plays through the ball, covers ground well. Offensively, open setup, short stride, hands load back, maintains good balance. Pull approach, emerging gap-to-gap abilities, flashed the ability to drive the ball middle/pull.. Ran a 6.84 60. On the mound, short, athletic arm action, high ¾ slot. Quick drop and drive delivery, works towards home, lands closed, finishes upright. Fastball sat 81-82. Curveball, 11/5 shape, 68. Changeup played at 73-74. High follow 2022 prospect.
