We will begin to spotlight each and every player in attendance. Today, we look at RHP Dante Visconti (Bartram Trail, 2019). The FAU commit is currently ranked No. 88 In Florida.

Scouting Report
05/20/18- Florida Atlantic recruit. Standing at a thick 6-foot-4, 200 pounds he has a lot of action going on in the delivery. While there is some deception, it can create some timing issues. When he is on time and gets down the mound, the fastball has some late arm side action and sink at 86-88 mph. Showed a sweeping slider at 74-77 mph. There is feel and athleticism as he threw a lot of strikes with the fastball and upside as he learns to get everything working in sync.
03/29/18- FAU recruit. Currently stands at 6-foot-2, 205 pounds with a tall, strong frame. Works with a quicker pace throwing out of the ¾ slot, with plenty of movement on his pitches. The fastball mostly sat at 85-87 mph, touching 88 along with a 74-77 mph slider that showed late action.
01/27/18- Florida Atlantic recruit. Stands at 6-foot-4, 215 pounds, with a strong, thick lower half. He worked with an up-tempo pace and attracted hitters, working off of his fastball for two innings. Currently works with a lower front side and some rotation, but the arm works loose and easy from a ¾ slot. The fastball sat 84-88 touching 89 mph with some late arm side life, and work expect to see more. He showed a feel for a sweeping slider, that he threw to right and left-handed hitters at 75-76 mph. Would expect to see him develop a changeup, but overall he had a quality presence with a loose arm. Expect to see a jump in velocity.
10.11.17- Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-4, 205 pounds with a tall, projectable frame and a strong lower half. Starts on the outer half of the rubber towards the first base side with a simple windup and a big leg kick for his delivery. Occasionally can fall off to the side on his follow through. Fastball mostly sat in the 84-86 mph range, touching 87 a couple times with run along with a 71-73 mph curveball with some depth and a 75-76 mph changeup. Showed good poise on the mound and threw a high percentage of strikes, striking out five batters in three innings early on. As he becomes more consistent with his landing and continues to fill out his tall frame, look for Visconti to see an uptick in velocity and overall stuff to only improve. Interesting arm to watch throughout the remainder of the fall.
