FL Power25 Update: Week 9

The 2023 high school baseball season has completed its ninth week of games. Each week we will update our Power25 HS Rankings with Risers, Fallers, and Newcomers to the rankings. We look forward to covering high school games this spring and hearing your feedback on who you think should be ranked where. Take a look at our Week 9 update.

Week 9

Risers

#3 Jesuit

Jesuit put together a 3-0 Week 9 including a statement win over Calvary Christian. This week Jesuit jumps Calvary in the Power25 and moves to #3. The Tigers are looking to continue to roll as they match up with #1 IMG Academy on Tuesday.

#10 Canterbury

Canterbury makes their first appearance inside the top ten of the Power25 this week. The Cougars have rattled off four wins in a row and now sit 20-3 on the season, looking strong as playoffs get closer.

Fallers

NR Durant

The Durant Cougars sit 17-4 on the season. They went 2-1 in Week 9 beating Sumner and Chamberlain while falling 2-0 to Strawberry Crest. They will be tested this week as they take on #5 Sickles before heading into the playoffs.

Newcomers

#22 South Walton

South Walton has rolled off some big wins recently and jump into the Power25 at #22. The Seahawks beat Gulf Breeze and #25 Pensacola Catholic last week, and have a recent win over #7 Pace. The Seahawks will look to continue to build off their momentum as they take on Mosley and Bozeman this week.
