FL Power25 Update: Week 10

The 2023 high school baseball season has completed its tenth week of games and concluded the regular season. Each week this season, we updated our Power25 HS Rankings with Risers, Fallers, and Newcomers to the rankings. Take a look at our Week 10 update.

Week 10

Risers

#11 Lake Mary

Lake Mary ends their regular season on a twenty game win streak. After losing game one of the season, the Rams went on a fantastic run to close out the season. They look strong heading into the playoffs.

#20 South Walton

South Walton heads into the playoffs on a nine game winning streak. The Seahawks established themselves as one of the top teams in the Panhandle this spring and will be dangerous in the playoffs.

Fallers

NR Dunedin

Dunedin closed out their 2023 season on a three game losing streak. Losses to Hollins, Osceola, and Sickles knocks Dunedin outside the Power25. This team is still dangerous and has the pitching needed to make a deep playoff run.

NR Plant

Plant heads into the playoffs on a small slide, losing two of their last three. The Panthers fell to Lennard and Plant City recently. Look for this team to use their depth to help them throughout the playoffs.

NR Winter Park

Two losses in the final week of the season knocks Winter Park out of the Power25. They have been one of the top teams in the Orlando area this spring and have a chance to make some noise in the playoffs.

Newcomers

#22 Columbus

Columbus makes their Power25 debut this week at #22. The Explorers had a strong season going 20-4 including twelve straight wins. They had key wins against Varela, West Broward, and Miami Springs. They held their own in a close loss to #2 Stoneman Douglas.

#23 Clay

Clay has been impressive in the Jacksonville area this spring. 20-5 on the season with wins over Nease, Bolles, Santa Fe, Creekside, and Santa Fe. Three of their five losses came against ranked opponents.

#24 Timber Creek

19-5 on the season, the Wolves head into the postseason on a six game win streak. Timber Creek has impressed in the Orlando area this spring. They gave Lake Mary their only loss of the season, while also beating Oviedo, Bishop Moore, Winter Park, and Spruce Creek. The Wolves could be a dangerous team in the playoffs.
