JACKSONVILLE, FL - On Wednesday, October 24th, St. John’s River State College travelled north to take-on hosts Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ). This Fall game was our first peak at FSCJ, who trotted out 10 different pitchers and a large majority of their position players, giving us an almost complete look of the squad. St. John’s River had previously been seen at the Twin Classicearlier this fall. However, we were able to re-acquaint ourselves with two recent commits, LHP Elijah Gill (East Carolina) and RHP Israel Cordero (UNC-Greensboro).

FLORIDA STATE COLLEGE AT JACKSONVILLE

Quinton Brehm, RHP, FSCJ (SO)
Uncommitted. 6-foot-2. 185-pound, lean, lanky build. Easy effort, works out of the stretch with a short leg lift to balance point, breaks the back leg on drive but does a good job staying tall, finishes upright. Arm action is short, some firmness, ¾ slot. Worked low in the zone with effectiveness. Fastball sat 89-90, some sink. Curveball, 11/5 shape, got hitters to chase, 78-79. Changeup, sinking action, 81-82.
