The 6A Regional Quarterfinals featured the Jesuit Tigers defeating the Wesley Chapel Wildcats by a score of 10-0 in just five innings. 2020 West Virginia commit, Ethan Jones got the start for Wesley Chapel, but his night didn’t last very long. An early double by 2019 Uncommitted Jimmy Clifford followed by a combined five walks and hit by pitches in the first led to five early runs for Jesuit. Jones was yanked after facing just seven batters, recording only one out. On the hill for Jesuit was 2020 Wake Forest commit, Camden Minacci.

Minacci is a tall, lanky right hander with some arm side run on his fastball. Due to Jesuit jumping out to a big lead, Minacci only threw two innings to save him for future games. Minacci allowed no runs on one hit with three strikeouts in those two innings. In the bottom of the second, back-to-back RBI doubles from 2020 Henry Politz and 2020 Joseph Casale extended the Jesuit lead to 7-0. Next to pitch for Jesuit was 2020 West Virginia commit, Justin Clark.

Clark has a tall, athletic frame with whippy arm action. He featured a running fastball and a tight slider. Clark threw one shutout inning striking out two followed by 2020 Ole Miss commit Josh Mallitz also throwing a shutout inning. 2021 Uncommitted Bradke Lohry led off the fifth inning with a single, his second hit of the day. Five more combined walks and hit by pitches led to three more runs which would end the game at 10-0 in five innings. 2019 Thomas Byron recorded the only hit of the game for Wesley Chapel. Jesuit moves on to the 6A regional semifinals where they will take on Jefferson High School.
