It’s been awhile, and now it’s back. The long awaited return of the D1 College Baseball season.

Opening Weekend of College Crosscheck took me to Globe Life Field in Arlington, TX to evaluate prospects at the State Farm College Baseball Showdown. This Classic pitted the top-ranked programs of the SEC against those from the Big 12.

No. 3 Texas Tech
No. 6 Ole Miss
No. 7 Mississippi State
No. 8 Arkansas
No. 9 Texas
No. 10 TCU

Along with top-ranked programs, come top-ranked prospects. And this tournament was not shy in that regard with 15 of the Top 100 college prospects and 26 of D1 Baseball's recent Top 350. Arkansas leads the way with six, while Mississippi State and Texas Tech are next with five apiece and Texas (4), TCU (4) and Ole Miss (2) complete the prospect parade.
