In the second game of the day, Trinity Christian took on Calvary Christian Academy from Fort Lauderdale. Trinity would start 2019 RHP and Florida State commit Dylan Simmons while Calvary would start 2017 LHP and Vanderbilt commit Jake Eder.

Although the game took place at Trinity Christian, Calvary would be the home team for the game. Eder would struggle a bit early giving up three runs in the first inning but would settle in and finish three innings with five walks, one hit, four strikeouts and three runs.

Simmons was very impressive early on and would only allowed two hits over four innings while giving up no runs and striking out five. Simmons featured a fastball that range from 88-90 mph that when he was on top of had some late life and was heavy in the zone. He would also show feel for a tight slider at 76-79 mph.

Trinity would appear to be in control of the game going into the sixth inning in which they would lead 6-0 with 2019 RHP Austin Thomas on the mound. Thomas was electric in the first inning with a fastball that ranged 89-91 mph with a lot of late life, but would struggle a bit with command in his second inning and with two outs would walk two and hit one to load the bases.

Calvary would then hit three consecutive singles by Scott, Pimental and Stadler before a walk and an error would eventually drive in seven runs to give Calvary the 7-6 lead going into the top of the seventh.

Trinity would battle back in the top of the seventh, loading the bases with one out. Luis Ezra would settle in though, striking out the next two to close the door and seal the victory for impressive comeback win for a Calvary Christian.
