WINTER GARDEN -- Bishop Moore was able to chip away from an early deficit and add two runs in the seventh to take down West Orange. Early on it looked as if West Orange was going to roll to an easy victory when 2016 starting pitcher and North Carolina commit Tyler Baum cruised through the first three innings and offensively they scored four runs all off of extra base hits, including a two-run home run from 2016 1B/P Nathan Schreckengost. However, after two runs in the fourth and one in the sixth, the Hornets scored two in the top of the seventh off a Joe Skinner (2016 3B/OF/RHP and Central Florida commit) single up the middle and were able to hold off the Warriors in the bottom half to win the game.

In the bottom of the first, the Warriors scored off a double by 2016 3B/P and Florida commit Garret Milchin who drove in 2016 OF Roberto Guillen who had a double of his own. The Warriors were able to add another run in the bottom of the second off a double by 2018 LHP/OF and Ole Miss commit Doug Nikhazy. West Orange added their final two in the bottom of the third off of the Schreckengost home run.

Bishop Moore scored their first run in the fourth when 2016 LHP/OF Rigsbey Mosley grounded out to second and brought in Skinner who reached on a walk. The very next hitter was 2016 INF Gabe Scavone who's swinging bunt brought in Pablo Cabrera (2015 INF and High Point signee) who had a double. The Hornets added their third run in the sixth when Cabrera hit another double down the left field line.

After Bishop Moore scored their two in the top of the seventh to go up 5-4, the Warrior threatened by getting runners on first and third, but could not find a way to extend the game as Bishop Moore won 5-4.
