Coach Shambora: "The Venice Indians return 7 starters in their lineup as well as returning their top 4 pitchers from a pitching staff that ended last season with a 2.1 team ERA. The team is anchored with the middle of their lineup in Nic Dunn, Jon Embury, Brady Schumaker and David Dubrule. The Indians will have Jackson Lucas at the top of the pitching staff behind a very talented mix of arms between Jobe Fish, Carter Cox, and submarine pitcher Simon Yochum. Venice will face another difficult schedule as they are consistently in the top 10 in the state in SOS. Venice will have key matchups against Tampa Jesuit, Calvary Christian, Trinity Catholic, Columbia, St. John Neumann, Dunedin, and Bishop Verot among others."
