2022 FL Power25 Rankings: Week 3 Update

The 2022 High School baseball season has officially kicked off. Each week we will update our Power25 HS Rankings with Risers, Fallers, and Newcomers to the rankings each week. We look forward to covering high school games this spring and hearing your feedback on who you think should be ranked where. Take a look at our Week 3 update.

Risers
No. 9 Wharton
Wharton has been a consistent team in 2022 other than their slip up against Alonso. The Wildcats jump up to No. 9 this week. The combo of Ryan Fry and Evan Chrest is tough for opponents to face each week. The offense is well rounded with a lot of Senior experience that will help compliment their stellar pitching.
No. 16 Mater Lakes Academy
Mater Lakes has been an interesting team to follow so far in 2022. They pulled off a big upset over American Heritage in Week 2, and followed it up with wins over Miami Christian and Westminster Christian in Week 3. The Bears did lose their first game of the season, but have been dominant so far against tough opponents.
Fallers
No. 11 Pace
Pace falls out of the top 10 after back to back weeks with a loss. They were taken down 13-4 by Pensacola Catholic last week causing them to drop out of the top 10. The Patriots are a very talented team and I expect them to be back in the top 10 sooner than later.
NR Bloomingdale
Bloomingdale has gotten off to a disappointing start in 2022 after starting the season No. 12 in these rankings. They lost their 3rd game of the season in Week 3 and have fallen out of the rankings. A 3-0 loss to Gaither puts them at 4-3 on the season.
Newcomers
No. 25 Naples
Naples has gotten off to a fantastic start in 2022 going 9-0 over the first three weeks. Naples is outscoring opponents 68-16 so far. Johnny King, Michael Graziano, and Marcos Torres have led the way on offense for the Golden Eagles with Kody Horton and Reilly Witmer holding down the fort on the mound.
