The long, lean and projectable 6-foot, 165 pound 1B/LHP/OF has a giant upside. He continues to show his high level arm talent. Topped out at 83 mph from the outfield, is 81 mph in the infield with solid actions and footwork around the bag. Offensively, he uses his long limbs to create leverage. Has some length, but above average bat speed and power potential. On the mound, he worked 79-82 mph with life and tilt on the fastball. As he adds strength and continues to learn to repeat, he will make some large stride. Both the curveball at 63 mph and changeup at 70 mph have potential. He has a loose, athletic body and an extremely high ceiling.
Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-1, 165 pounds with a loose, athletic, projectable frame with long limbs. Above average feel for the game for his age, shows natural actions. Impressed all over the field throughout the weekend. During his bullpen on Friday night, he showed a loose, quick arm and a repeatable delivery which featured a fastball that mostly sat 80-82 mph, touching 83 with life. Also mixed in a 61-62 mph curveball with depth and a 71-72 mph changeup with some fade. From the outfield, he takes efficient routes to the ball and shows an above average arm with accuracy and carry on his throws, topping out at 83 mph. Shows solid, defensive actions around the bag at first. Offensively, he shows a smooth swing with above average bat speed from the left side which consistently finds the barrel. Displays the ability to go gap-to-gap and sit back on the breaking ball to take it the other way. Moran shows multiple above average tools for his age, but his highest ceiling is on the mound. Look for him to make a number of jumps as he continues to add to his frame and mature. Very high follow.
Athletic, projectable frame standing at 6-foot, 165 pounds with long limbs. On line throws from the outfield with carry, with the arm playing as plus for his class. Offensively, he is able to use the long limbs as leverage while staying compact. He has an advance approach and showed during the game. He consistently took quality at-bats and was on time, simple and drove the ball to left for a RBI single. As impressive as he was offensively, he was equally impressive on the mound. Mechanically, he gets to the inverse W, but the athleticism gets him to extension. The arm is quick, and clean, the fastball working 78-81 mph. Showed potential with both 63-64 mph curveball and 74-75 mph changeup. Overall, the ceiling is extremely high and the all around tools are present. He will have a chance to be a top two way player in his class.
Currently stands at 6-foot, 165 pounds with long legs and a projectable frame. Stood out on the mound from the left side where he showed a loose, quick arm. Ball comes out of the hand easy and repeats out in front. Fastball mostly sat 78-80 mph with run along with a 74-75 mph changeup and a 63-64 mph curveball that showed depth. As he continues to add to his frame and mature, except to some jumps in velocity and overall stuff. From the outfield he charges the ball out in front and fields it with confidence. Throws to the bag were accurate and showed carry, topping out at 82 mph. Offensively, he hits from a wide base with quick hands through the zone. Level to uphill finish from the left side where he showed some pull side pop while making consistent contact. Registered a 78 mph exit velocity in the cage.
