Scouting Report

12/15/17- Currently stands at 6-foot-1, 160 pounds with a long, lean, projectable frame. Looks to have grown a couple inches over the past several months. In the outfield he takes efficient routes to the ball and shows range with athletic actions. Throws to the bag were accurate topping out at 77 mph. At the plate he starts from a wide base and shows a quick bat through the zone. At times he can be out in front, but when he stays back and lets the ball travel into the zone, he shows gap-to-gap potential. More use of his lower half will generate more power as well. Was interesting on the mound where he showed a loose arm throwing out of the high ¾ slot. Worked downhill with his fastball at 79-81 mph along with a 64-67 mph curveball with depth and a 71-72 mph changeup. Interesting two-way athlete who will make some jumps both offensively and defensively as he continues to add to his frame and matures.

01/21/17- Stands at 5-foot-10, 140 pounds with a lean, athletic frame. At the plate displayed the ability to let the ball travel into the zone, take it the opposite way. Showed a level path through the zone and as he continues to get stronger, will be able to drive the ball with more authority into the gaps. Registered an exit velocity of 78 mph from the left side. In the outfield he showed athleticism and took some good routes to the ball. Throws from the outfield were accurate and topped out at 74 mph. Ran a 7.97 second 60 yard dash time.

12/15/16- Stands at 5-foot-10, 140 pounds with a lean, wiry, athletic build. Displayed the ability to use all of the plate with a level swing during batting practice. Has some quick-twitch with good hand eye coordination. Showed some actions and the ability to go get the ball in the outfield. Look for his overall game to improve with added strength, weight to his frame along with maturity.

09/17/16- The 5-foot-9, 140 pound OF/LHP showed a lot of all around potential on the day. The left handed hitter still needs to get strongs, but the swing works. With a simple load and trigger, he stays balanced throughout the swing and uses his lower half well. He showed a level, line drive swing producing a base hit in the game. From the outfield he showed average range and average arm that will continue to improve as he continues to play. On the mound, the left handed pitcher showed a clean and easy arm action. He stayed in line working down the mound, working the bottom of the zone with a fastball ranging from 64-66 mph. Overall, the actions work and will continue to project well as he gets stronger.
