West Palm Beach, FL- This past Thursday, the 2018 Florida Top Prospect Games took place at the FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches which featured some of the top 2019-2021s from throughout the state. Players participated in a pro-style workout followed by a game.

Below are some quick notes and game highlights on a number of players that stood out throughout the event:

+ 2019 RHP William Childs mostly sat 81-83 mph, touching 84 with his fastball that showed run along with a slider at 72-73 mph and 75-76 mph changeup from the sidearm slot. Induced weak ground ball/fly ball outs and worked down in the zone.

+ 2020 C/OF Stan DeMartinis stands 5-foot-11, 172-pounds, athletic frame, broad shoulders. Showed one of the bigger arms at the event, from multiple positions. Loose arm action was clocked at 88 mph from the outfield and 80 mph behind the plate. Also had a single and stolen base in the game.

+ 2020 1B Bo Planeta has a strong frame and generated hard contact, driving the ball with authority into the gaps during BP. This translated to the game with a hard hit double that left the bat at 95 mph.

+ 2020 MIF Sean Sullivan displayed his athleticism to start the day when he ran one of the top three 60 yard dash times, clocking in at 6.99 seconds.

+ 2021 SS/RHP Grant Siegel is a projectable prospect at 6-foot-1 215-pounds, with a thick frame that can hold weight. A follow on the mound, Siegel ran his fastball up to 85, sitting 83-85 mph.

+ 2019 MIF Jorel Ortega continued to impress in the field, showing advanced, defensive actions with an above average arm, topping out at 90 mph on his throws across the diamond. Offensively, he displayed the ability to drive the ball deep into the gaps with power potential to the pull side. Registered a 95 mph exit velocity in the cage which was the top exit velocity of the event. Tennessee recruit.

+ 2021 MIF Hector Mangual stood out both offensively and defensively. In the field he shows natural, athletic actions and sure hands. Offensively, he creates leverage with his long limbs and should see a jump in power as he fills out his frame. Took a ball the other way down the right field line for a line drive single during game play.

+ 2020 SS/RHP Trey Jackson has gotten noticeably more physical which has translated to an improvement in his overall game. During BP, he showed a feel for the barrel and squared up the ball for multiple hard hit line drives into the gaps. On the mound, he was up to 88 mph along with a 79-80 mph changeup and a slider at 74-75 mph with depth.

+ 2021 RHP Sebastian Martinez worked a clean inning on the mound where he featured a fastball that sat 81-83 mph, touching 84 with some run along with a 76-77 mph changeup and 66-70 mph curveball. Struck out two.

+ 2020 OF/RHP Bailey Uderitz continued to show a loose, whippy swing and offensive upside as well as potential on the mound where he was up to 86 mph. Pepperdine recruit.

+ 2020 OFs Jacoby Long and Kendry Noriega displayed above average speed, tying for the fastest 60 yard dash time of the day at 6.63 seconds. The athletic outfielders also showed quick-twitch actions and advanced defensive abilities.

+ 2021 Christopher McKenna has a loose, projectable frame, shows potential defensively behind the plate and had a single in the game.
