2018 Florida Top Prospect Games Positional Breakdown: Corner Infielders

West Palm Beach, FL- On October 11th, the 2018 Florida Top Prospect Games took place at Henley Field which featured some of the top 2019-2022s throughout the state. Players participated in a pro-style workout followed by a game.
Over the next week, we will breakdown each player by position through report. Today, we take a look at all the corner infielders in attendance:
Bo Planeta 1B / OF / Calvary Christian (Clearwater), FL / 2020Rankings StateRank: 138 / POS: 8
Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot-3, 210 pounds with a strong, athletic frame. Present strength. Stood out offensively throughout the day where he showed above average bat speed with some feel for the barrel, squaring up the ball and creating hard contact, showing some present pull side pop. At times he can be a little out in front, but when is on time, the ball jumps off the bat. During gameplay, he laced a ball for an RBI single, which left the bat at 95 mph. Also registered a 92 mph exit velocity in the cage off a tee. Defensively, he shows solid actions around the bag at first and fields the ball out in front and under control. Throws across the diamond and to second were accurate, topping out at 80 mph. |
Jordan Palacios 1B / C / Mater Lakes Academy, FL / 2021Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-11, 220 pounds with a strong, stocky frame. Offensively, he starts from a wide base with loose hands and shows a level to uphill finish through the zone, looking to drive the ball with authority. At times he can drop his hands, but when he stayed level through the zone, he was able drive the ball gap-to-gap. Registered an 81 mph exit velocity in the cage. Around the bag at first, he fields the ball out in front and under control, squaring his body up to field the ball. Throws across the diamond and to second were accurate, topping out at 70 mph. |
Brady Strelitz 3B / 1B / Spanish River Community , FL / 2021Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-11, 158 pounds with a lean, athletic frame. Still room to fill out. Offensively, he shows a simple swing with a slight leg kick, showing quick hands and some present bat speed. During batting practice, he showed the ability to go gap-to-gap, finding the barrel. As Strelitz continues to add to his frame, look for a jump in his gap-to-gap potential. Registered an 83 mph exit velocity in the cage. Defensively, he displayed natural, athletic actions in the field and takes efficient angles to the ball. Fields the ball under control and with confidence. Throws across the diamond topped out at 80 mph. |
