2018 Florida All-State Games Spotlight: 2019 C Kalvin Alexander

On July 28th, 2018 at Alex Rodriguez Park at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL, the top high school prospects ranging from the 2019-2022 classes will participate in the 2018 All-State Games. The 2018 All-State Games will feature draft talent, numerous Division 1 recruits, and some of the top uncommitted underclassman in the state.
Leading up to the event we will highlight each upcoming participant through their own individual spotlight which includes video, reports, and more. Today we take a look at 2019 C Kalvin Alexander of the McKeel Academy of Technology, FL.
Scouting Report
05/20/18- Uncommitted, he is very athletic and well-built frame. Standing at 6-foot-1, 205 pounds, he ran a 6.81 60 yard dash and can see having athletic versatility. Overall, he showed a lot of raw tools. Behind the plate, while athletic and flexible, he is raw in his footwork and receiving. The hands work, he’s flexible and athletic, which gives him a very intriguing upside. Offensively, he starts with a wide base and has a toe tap trigger. There is a lot of moving parts and can have length and some inconsistencies, but overall there is present bat speed and strength. There are a lot of tools and athleticism that will need to continue to develop, but overall the athleticism and tools give him a quality upside.
