The PBRT 16U Florida Summer Championships continued Saturday, July 9th at IMG Academy with action from the 16U division. The event is four days long with champions decided on Sunday. Each day we will highlight standouts with a daily scout blog. Take a look at Day 3's notes.

Stocky athletic frame. Simple gap to gap approach with natural lift. Strength in the lower half. On time and on barrel as he laced a 2RBI 2B.

Drew Cobb C / Wharton, FL / 2025Sturdy frame. Shorter quick arm action. Showed some feel for 3 pitch mix. FB has some jump to it. Tight spinning BB with some swing & miss. CH with late fade FB: 81-84 T85 (2490)BB: 67-69 (2520) CH: 77-79

Marc Hersh C / 3B / A3 Academy, FL / 2024Athletic build. Present strength and presence in the box. Easy smooth operation. Uphill path with good hands. 2B off the LCF wall and followed it up with a single. Impressive day. One to follow.

Riley McDonald RHP / 3B / Hollins, FL / 2025McDonald had one of the most impressive weekends of anyone. Hit a no doubt game tying HR which followed up a double off the wall that almost left the yard.

Braden Moon 1B / 1B / Newsome, FL / 2024Large, mature physical frame at 6-foot-4, 215 pounds. Calm presence in box, efficient mover. Clean actions with controlled aggression. Short, compact swing.
