As we finish up the 2024 season, we now continue our coverage of the talent we've seen up to this point in Colorado with 'Uncommitted Spotlights' of the top prospects still on the board in the senior class. While there's already prospects in the class committed to programs already, there remains a slew of high-end talent still available.

These spotlights help paint a picture of the prospect with the help of our TrackMan, Blast Motion, Swift Performance and Vizual Edge systems, that provides objective data that teams use to identify and break down players they believe will fit into their system.

Today, we continue our Top Uncommitted Spotlights with a look at 2025 RHP/INF Jerry Stone of Prairie View HS. Stone is a wiry and twitchy prospect who comes in at over 6-foot tall with some real two-way upside. In spring 2024 at the 5A level, Stone pitched to the tune of a 1.88 ERA across 59.2 innings with 24 walks, and 93 strikeouts. Stone also hit for a .387 average with 7 doubles, 5 triples, 3 homeruns, 6 stolen bases, and a 1.129 OPS across 107 plate appearances. We have seen Stone produce over a 95 mph top exit velocity from past events, while his fastball this spring clocked in around 86-88 mph. Stone is able to pair his live fastball with a 12/6 breaking ball (~2500 rpms) that he can land for strikes, and whiffs.
