SPRING 2024 STANDOUTS:

Will Hayes RHP / OF / Valor Christian , CO / 2027

Hayes remains atop the Colorado 2027 rankings after posting some very solid pitching numbers this spring. Across 32 innings at the 5A level, Hayes struckout 40 batters, walked just 11, and held down a 1.31 ERA. The Valor Christian sophomore is tall, athletic, and strong while his fastball has already gotten into the upper 80s with advanced pitchability. Hayes also throws out of a slightly lower 3/4 arm slot to give him some quality deception as well.

Dylan Langstaff 1B / LHP / Douglas County, CO / 2027

Langstaff is a left-handed arm who has showcased a potential high ceiling over the last year. This spring, Langstaff chucked 26 innings with 23 Ks, 12 walks, and a 3.23 ERA. The tall southpaw comes with long levers and a repeatable smooth delivery. Langstaff has plenty of more room to develop while his fastball has already touched 86 mph from the left-side. The Douglas County underclassman is one to watch closely as he heads to this year's Prep Baseball Super Sophomore Games in Kansas City this upcoming August.

Cooper Vais RHP / SS / Arvada West, CO / 2027

Vais might just be the most athletic player in the Colorado 2027 class and he had the tools on display this spring. As a freshman at the 5A level, Vais managed 42.2 innings with 56 Ks, 12 walks, and a 2.13 ERA. We also saw Vais chip in offensively with his .271 average and 8 doubles at the plate. Vais has some twitchy and strong actions with a higher feel and baseball IQ already. The fastball on Vais has been seen up to 87 mph while he can spin a slider and curveball around 2,600 rpms with pitchability.

Jack Sansone RHP / OF / Roosevelt, CO / 2027

One of the top fastballs in the Colorado 2027 class comes from Roosevelt's Jack Sansone. We have seen Sansone up to 87 mph on the mound while he did register 52 strikeouts across 36.1 innings this spring. Sansone has the ability to generate whiffs all over the zone on his fastball to go with a serviceable slider and changeup. We can also tell you that Sansone hit .338 with 2 home runs, 5 doubles, a triple, and a .946 OPS across 88 plate apperances. The Prep Baseball Colorado staff will be taking Sansone to the Super Sophomore games as he is certainly a name to circle at the moment.

Declan Moylett C / SS / Severance, CO / 2027

Moylett is one of the most advanced hitters in the Colorado 2027 class and he comes with the ability to play a premium catching position with a left-handed swing. The underclassman flashed just how good his hit tool can be at the varsity level this spring thanks to his .435 average, 5 doubles, 5 stolen bases, and a 1.035 OPS across 89 plate appearances. Moylett also has plenty of feel behind the plate and a quality baseball IQ. Be sure to keep Moylett on the short list of names as we head into the Super Sophomore games for these top 2027 prospects.

Johnny Komarowsky 3B / RHP / Denver South, CO / 2027

Komarowsky is a Junior Future Games alumni who is coming off of a spring where he displayed some real power as a freshman. The Denver South infielder mashed 4 home runs, 5 doubles, and held down a .364 average with a 1.038 OPS across 72 plate appearaces this spring. Komarowsky has also displayed a 74 mph bat speed and over a 91 mph top exit velocity in past events.

TOP NEWCOMERS:

Colton Johnson 1B / RHP / Cheyenne Mountain High School, CO / 2027

Johnson is a tall and strong prospect who hit .368 this spring with 5 doubles at the 5A/4A level. The hit tool on Johnson is actively developing while he should be able to consistently increase his power output as he gets even stronger. Johnson is one to keep an eye on as he already has quality feel for the barrel with plate coverage at a younger age.

Anson Zeschin 1B / OF / Regis Jesuit, CO / 2027

Zeschin is an intriguing underclassman who has already shown flashes of some true hitterish vibes with quick hands. We have seen Zeschin up to a 90 mph top exit velocity in events while he can elevate and drive the baseball with plate coverage. Zeschin comes in at 6'3'' already with some present athleticism and is one to watch closely over the next year.

Finn Torvik 3B / 1B / Boulder, CO / 2027

Torvik is a quality athlete who also plays football and is coming off of an impressive spring. As a freshman at the 5A level this season, Torvik hit .300 across his 33 plate appearances with feel in the infield. Torvik earned himself a trip to this year's Super Sophomore Games where his talents will be on display against some of the nations top ranked 2027s.

Noah Villareal RHP / Riverdale Ridge, CO / 2027

Villareal is yet another impressive arm to get to know in this stout 2027 class. The Riverdale Ridge sophomore is physical and comes with a fastball in the low to mid 80s along with a deceptive arsenal. Villareal shows some higher level competitiveness on the mound already and is one to watch closely as he continues to develop.

Brendan Ray C / RHP / Pueblo West, CO / 2027

Ray's athleticism lands him in this round of the rankings as the sophomore just posted a 6.9 60 yard dash with over a 91 mph top exit velocity during the Colorado Springs Summer ID. Ray comes in at 6'2'' already with a frame that looks prime for future development while he can also play a premium catching position and has ramped the fastball up to around 80 mph on the mound.
