Prep Baseball Colorado Staff

The summer rankings update consists of 150 players from the Colorado 2025 class. This group of prospects includes some very talented college commits, high-end uncommitted players at the top, plenty of actively developing athletes, and a deep talent pool overall. When creating our rankings, we consider various factors, such as skills, physical abilities, potential, projection, and on-field performance as well.

TOP UNCOMMITTED:

Trevor Gottsegen OF / 2B / Highlands Ranch High School, CO / 2025

The newly uncommitted #1 ranked 2025 prospect in the state of Colorado is someone you don't want to miss out on. Gottsegen is a uniquely athletic player who can play two premium positions in both center field and shortstop. The soon to be senior comes with exceptional strength thanks to an 81 mph max bat speed, a 95+ mph exit velocity, and throwing velocities near 90 mph defensively. Gottsegen also runs a 6.5 60 yard dash and plays the game with his hair on fire while still presenting quality baseball IQ. The high-waisted athlete has an elite hit tool and one of the highest ceilings we've seen within the state over the last few years. In spring 2024, Gottsegen hit .440 with 4 HR, 3 3B, 5 2B, a 1.438 OPS, and 6 stolen bases across 65 plate appearances.

Christian Lopez OF / LHP / Regis Jesuit, CO / 2025

Lopez is another speedster who is still uncommitted and comes with a higher ceiling from the left-side. This spring, Lopez flashed some unique feel and range in center field while being the lead-off hitter for the 5A State runner-ups. We have seen Lopez down to a 6.41 60 yard dash time with a 92 mph outfield throwing velocity. Lopez also has some real whip in the bat thanks to his 78 mph max bat speed with a 92 mph top exit velocity. Outlier speed with twitchy strength and plenty more left to unlock.

Sam Harry OF / Castle View High School, CO / 2025

Harry is a former Future Games alumni who also plays football. We absolutely love the upside on Harry thanks to his tall, wiry, and athletic frame that continues to develop well. This spring, Harry hit .456 with a home run, 6 3B, 5 2B, a 1.214 OPS, and 11 stolen bases across 91 plate appearances. There still could be plenty more to unlock with Harry which makes him one of the top uncommitted prospects in the state at the moment.

Tommy Feldhake SS / 3B / Castle View, CO / 2025

Feldhake is another impressive uncommitted player from Castle View who also attended last summer's Future Games. One of the outlier metrics on Feldhake is that he posted nearly an 80 mph max bat speed during this year's preseason All State to go along with a top exit velocity of 96 mph. Feldhake is athletic and strong while being able to play shortstop with feel. We can also tell you that Feldhake ran a 6.77 60 yard dash, smacked 13 doubles, and stole 9 bases this spring.

Fabian Gaeta LHP / OF / Prairie View, CO / 2025

Gaeta is the #2 ranked left-handed pitcher in the state at the moment and put up some staggering numbers this spring. Across 72.1 innings, Gaeta walked just 16 batters, struckout 107, allowed 42 hits, a 1.65 ERA, and held an 11-3 record. Gaeta also flashed some two-way upside in 2024 thanks to his .432 average, 2 HR, 2 3B, 6 2B, a 1.119 OPS, and 6 steals across 109 plate appearances. The senior has a unique fastball (~20 IVB) that generates plenty of swings and misses with a developing off-speed he can land for strikes. The former Future Gamer should continue to develop while his left-handed abilities prove to be a rare commodity.

Andrew Smart OF / RHP / Arapahoe, CO / 2025

Smart was a breakout prospect during the 2024 spring season as he hit .411 with 7 HR, a 3B, 4 2B, a 1.264 OPS, and 5 stolen bases across 87 plate appearances. The Arapahoe senior earned himself a trip to this year's Senior Future Games where he will be able to display his advanced tools in front of a plethora of scouts. Smart is a tall, athletic, and strong player who has posted over a 95 mph top exit velocity in past events.

TOP RISERS:

Mason Scott 3B / RHP / Cherry Creek High School, CO / 2025

Scott surges up the rankings after a spring where he absolutely crushed the baseball for the 5A State champions. The Army commit produced a .439 average, 2 HR, 6 3B, 8 2B, and a 1.296 OPS across 101 plate appearances. Scott has an advanced hit tool where he uses all fields and has been seen up to a 99 mph top exit velocity in past events.

Adam Hayes RHP / 3B / Berthoud, CO / 2025

Hayes is another prospect who earned himself a trip to this year's Senior Future Games. The tall and strong right-handed arm was seen up to 90 mph this spring by the Prep Baseball Colorado staff. Hayes' fastball also has some outlier qualities thanks to a max spin rate of up to 2,800 rpms on the pitch.

TOP NEWCOMERS:

Evan Raabe SS / OF / Thompson Valley High School, CO / 2025

Raabe was one of the most productive athletes this spring as he hit .526 with 9 HR, 2 3B, 9 2B, a 1.524 OPS, and 20 steals across 111 plate apperances. We can also tell you that Raabe chucked 23 innings with 28 Ks this year. The versatile prospect is headed to St. Thomas (Minnesota) to play D1 college baseball after next spring and is one to watch closely.

Jansen Roberts 3B / OF / Cheyenne Mountain, CO / 2025

Roberts comes with a smooth swing from the left-side and plate coverage. This spring, Roberts hit .518 with 4 HR, 2 3B, 12 2B, a 1.449 OPS, and 18 stolen bases across 101 plate appearances. We can also tell you that Roberts has quality feel in the infield and has been seen over a 94 mph top exit velocity with a 77 mph bat speed in past events.

Noah Stopnik RHP / Mountain Vista, CO / 2025

Stopnik is a name to note moving forward as he presented some very strong metrics during this year's Colorado Summer Kickoff. The slider on Stopnik was specifically impressive from the right-hander since it came in at a max spin rate of 3,161 rpms and ~18 inches of horizontal movement. Stopnik also had a strong fastball that came with pitchability and a max velocity of 88 mph. The soon to be senior has a tall, athletic, and wiry frame that should give him even more upside for future development.
