FUTURE GAMES FOLLOW-UPS:

Aaron Jaquez RHP / 1B / Falcon, CO / 2026

Jaquez was one of the biggest overall winners from this year's Future Games as the tall and strong right-hander struckout 7 hitters in 3 innings of work. The fastball on Jaquez was ramped up to 92 mph with a tight slider and a deceptive changeup he was able to generate plenty of whiffs on. Jaquez should continue to move up the national rankings as he carries one of the highest ceilings in the 2026 class.

Ethan Wachsmann RHP / OF / Grandview, CO / 2026

Wachsmann set the event on fire during the last day of Future Games thanks to a fastball that hit 91 mph plenty of times, and some outlier feel for spin. We have seen Wachsmann generate a spin rate on the fastball up to 2,658 rpms while his off-speed has reached a max spin rate of 3,125 rpms. The uncommitted junior has a loose and quick arm action that comes with a plethora of deception stemming from his elite spin rates with a consistent arm speed. Wachsmann is building a ton of momentum at the moment and is yet another high ceiling right-hander at the top of the Colorado 2026 rankings.

Chase Massey SS / 2B / Regis Jesuit, CO / 2026

Massey has surged up the rankings over the last year, and he put on quite the show at the 2024 Future Games as well. The Regis Jesuit junior flashed the ability to play both shortstop and centerfield with feel during the games, while he racked up plenty of extra-base hits offensively. Massey also comes with a very low strikeout rate and a quality baseball IQ. The strong and athletic prospect has a chance to make even more jumps in the coming year, and is now one of the top overall 2026 position players within the state.

Luc Gaca Thiele 3B / RHP / Fossil Ridge, CO / 2026

Luc showcased a plus hit-tool with power from the left-side during this year's Future Games. The Fossil Ridge junior is composed in the box with a quick and efficient swing he uses to all fields. During the games at LakePoint, Luc was able to mash a home run, and collected hits all week long. Luc comes with a 99 mph in-game exit velocity and hit .412 with 9 doubles, 2 home runs, 13 stolen bases, and a 1.120 OPS across 82 plate appearances in spring 2024 at the 5A level.

Tommy Humphrey OF / RHP / Chaparral, CO / 2026

Tommy Humphrey was another Team Colorado prospect who belted a home run during this year's Future Games. The athletic and strong outfielder continues to present well-rounded feel of the game with plenty of upside and tools as well. Humphrey has posted a 6.7 60 yard dash, an 88 mph outfield throwing velocity, and over a 96 mph top exit velocity in past events.

Cory Dean Carver SS / OF / Montezuma-Cortez, CO / 2026

Carver is an intriguing infielder prospect who plays the game at fast pace, but with control and feel still. The uncommitted shortstop has some high-end athleticism while he generates exceptional power for his frame. We have seen Carver up to a 94 mph top exit velocity, a 74 mph bat speed, and a 6.6 60 yard dash in past events. During this year's Future Games, Carver was able to find the barrel often, presented advanced base-path instincts, and played quality middle-infield.

TOP RISERS:

Austin Sickler SS / C / Brighton High School, CO / 2026

Sickler immediately impressed during this year's Colorado State Games as he posted a quality round of batting practice from the left-side during the showcase portion (94 mph exit velocity / 76 mph bat speed) while displaying advanced feel at shortstop. We can also tell you that before we even played any games, Sickler had an 87 mph infield throwing velocity and a 6.7 60 yard dash time under his belt. During the games, Sickler made some fantastic plays in the infield and racked up the extra-base hits and hard contact. Sickler is actively developing right now and has a higher ceiling as he continues to rise. 5'11'', wiry/athletic, worth a close follow.

Andrew Henderson RHP / 3B / Grand Junction, CO / 2026

Riley Honick 3B / 2B / Rocky Mountain, CO / 2026

Honick posted some quality numbers during this year's Colorado State Games, and backed it up with solid play during the games. The Rocky Mountain junior comes with a 98.4 mph top exit velocity, a 76 mph bat speed, and a 6.8 60 yard dash time. Honick is 6'1'' and 175 Ibs with some twitchy and athletic strength.

Jacob Combest SS / RHP / Legend, CO / 2026

Combest is a wiry and athletic prospect who should have a chance to make some noise for his 5A Legend program in spring 2025. The uncommitted junior presents some quality feel at shortstop while he has been able to get the fastball on the mound up to 83 mph. Combest has some twitchy actions and a frame that could make a big jump over the next year as he gets stronger.
