On Tuesday, June 25th, the Prep Baseball Colorado staff hosted the CBA Scout Day. This event featured ~35 prospects from the 2025-2029 classes and allowed our staff an opportunity to get an in-depth look at the players in attendance. Today, we continue our post-event coverage with this 'Quick Hits' story.

QUICK HITS:

Teagan Reisdorfer SS / 2B / Vista Ridge, WY / 2025 Reisdorfer led this event in both top pitching velocity and outfield throwing velocity while coming in with the second best 60 yard dash time at 6.99. The Vista Ridge senior is strong and athletic while actively developing. Reisdorfer was able to get his fastball up to 84 mph (~2300 rpms) with a slider and curveball he can spin around 2400 rpms. We also saw Reisdorfer throw 85 mph from the outfield and has some feel defensively along with a developing bat.

Charlie Scofield 1B / LHP / Cheyenne Mountain, CO / 2025 Scofield was the big winner with the bat during this year's Colorado Springs Summer ID thanks to his 100 mph top exit velocity from the left-side. The strong senior presents some intriguing upside as a power lefty and comes with some feel on the corners defensively as well. Scofield is one to watch closely as we finish the 2024 summer and fall seasons.

Nathan Singleton 3B / SS / Discovery Canyon, CO / 2025 Singleton posted some impressive metrics during this event with a 96 mph top exit velocity, 85 mph infield velocity, and a 6.96 60 yard dash time. The senior is making some big jumps at the moment to go with strength and athleticism. Singleton is a name to note moving forward.

Nick Prantl 1B / OF / Widefield, CO / 2026 The Widefield junior ended this event with a 94.4 top exit velocity and a 7.07 60 yard dash time to give him some developing upside. Prantl is tall and strong with some feel defensively while he has flashed a plus hit tool this spring. Across 56 plate appearances at the 4A level this year, Prantl hit .458 with 2 2B, 2 3B, a 1.119 OPS and 4 steals.

Cade Johnson C / RHP / Pine Creek, CO / 2027 Johnson is an intriguing young prospect who continues to get better everytime we see him. The Pine Creek sophomore ended this event with a 94.3 mph top exit velocity, 77 mph bat speed, 2.03 top pop time, a 79 mph catcher velocity, and a fastball up to 79 mph on the mound. Johnson is already 6'2'' and has a frame that should continue to get stronger while his actions on the field prove to have a higher ceiling for future development.
