Week 5 Player & Pitcher of the Week

Each week during the high school season, the PBR Colorado staff will announce our 'Players of the Week' awards for that particular week. Numerous players from across the state will continue to perform and put up numbers weekly, though only one position player and one pitcher can take home this award each week. Below you'll see which players have earned our 'Player of the Week' honor this spring season. We will also highlight those that fell short in our weekly 'Diamond Notes' article, where you can learn more about the standout names across the CHSAA.

Nate Eliason 2B / SS / Rocky Mountain , CO / 2023

Eliason helped lead his team to a 4-0 week during week 5 of Colorado play, going 8 for 15 with five RBI, a stolen base, a triple, a double, five runs scored, and two walks. Eliason also came through with the game-winning hit against Prairie View who had a record of 5-1 at the time. The Rocky Mountain senior has gotten his batting average up to .522 in 8 games this season and is your week 5 player of the week!   

 

 

 

Thomas Stewart RHP / SS / J.K. Mullen, CO / 2025

Stewart is a promising young right-hander who is already committed to the University of Virginia as a sophomore. This week against Brighton HS we got to see Stewart's upside on display thanks to him pitching 7 innings with 14 Ks, zero earned runs, four hits, and only one walk. Stewart also went 1 for 3 at the plate with a couple of runs scored. The season stat line on Stewart is up to 41 Ks in 20.1 innings pitched to go with his 2-0 record and a 2.41 ERA.
