In the fall of 2014 PBR Colorado released our first ever 2015, 2016, and 2017 rankings. In the past two years Prep Baseball Report Colorado has had the opportunity to cover amateur baseball like no other organization has ever been able to do before in the state of Colorado. Between scouting numerous games  and recently having a great opportunity to see more 2019 grads at the Top Prospect Games, scouting summer and  fall baseball games,  we have been able to move our 2019 rankings from 40 to 65. These rankings will for sure grow and change as we get out to watch more players in games this fall, next spring, and of course at our events.  Our next big 2019 rankings update will be posted after our Underclass Invitational in January, however there will be some players who might move up and down the board as we see them this fall.

Staying at No. 1 overall 2019 is Texas Christian commit SS/RHP Riley Cornelio of Pine Creek High School. A 6-foot-2, 160-pound right hand hitter.  Corneilio stands at 6-foot-2, 160 pounds with a wide, balanced stance at the plate. He takes a short stride and has quick hands. On the mound, he stands tall and stays compact throughout his delivery. He lands slightly closed and throws across his body. He gets good extension out front on his fastball, which can sit at 85. He mixes in a sweeping curveball with 10/4 shape at 68 and a changeup at 74. In the field, he has smooth actions and quick feet. He works well to his backhand side and has an accurate arm.  Identified as the best two way player and most projectable 2019 player at the 2016 Underclass Invitational.

Moving to No. 2 in our rankings is Arkansas commit OF of Bryce Mathews of Chaparral. Already 6-foot-5, 180 pounds. Bats left and throws right. Has a ton of power potential. The freshman brings a lot of power to the plate, and projects to be one of the best hitters in our state for the next 3 years. At the plate hits from a tall, slightly opened stance, short stride that closes down, and lets his hands to the work with a level swing through the zone. Gap to gap power. In the Outfield ranges well for his size. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot. This past spring the big outfielder helped lead the Wolverines to the 5A District playoffs.

Moving up to No. 3 in our rankings is RHP/OF Parker Gregory of Pine Creek High School. The 5-foot-11, 160 pound RHP has a nice loose arm from high 3/4 arm slot and repeatable delivery with a lot of projection. Fastball touched 85 mph at the Top Prospect Games with a solid 3-pitch mix. Curveball had nice late tilt at 69 mph, and change was same arm speed as fastball with fade at 72 mph. At the plate has a tall narrow stance, short stride, and quick hands through the hitting zone producing a 83 mph exit velo.
