In the three years Prep Baseball Report Colorado has had the opportunity to cover amateur baseball like no other organization has ever been able to do before in the state of Colorado. Between scouting numerous games this spring and recently having a great opportunity to see more 2020 grads at the Underclass Invitational in January, and Top Prospect Games in August, we have created our first rankings for the 2020 Class. These rankings will for sure grow and change before the end of next spring. Our next 2020 rankings will be posted after our Underclass Invitational in January.
Lucas Quezada RHP / 1B / Denver School of the Arts, CO / 2020Staying at No. 1 is Lucas Quezada. 6-foot, 170 pounds. Bats left, throws right. Closer to 5-foot-10, but everything is super effortless, and he repeats it in an advanced manner given his age. Arm is quick, and he painted his fastball from side to side down in the zone. Fastball sits 85-87 and it looked like he was just flipping it in. Stays linear. Threw a straight changeup with fastball arm speed for strikes and a slurve that took solid shape, but is still developing. Change was 74-75 mph. Curveball comes in at 70-72 with 10/4 shape. Solid prospect.
