Top Colorado Uncommitted 2019 Infielders

On October 28th PBR Colorado will be hosting the Unsigned Senior Showcase to be held at the Regency Athletic Complex at Metropolitan State College. This will be a great opportunity for players to get their profiles updated right before the early signing date. Over the last eight years this event has been a staple of the Prep Baseball Report schedule. Walk ups will not be accepted. The showcase will be featured on the Prep Baseball Report’s website, which is also subscribed to by more than 850 college coaches. Below are some top 2019 infielders still on the board from the state of Colorado that we have video on.
Trey Adams SS / 2B / Ralston Valley, CO / 2019Rankings StateRank: 22 / POS: 4
6-foot-0, 170-pound right hand hitting SS/2B who ran a 7.00 60. At the plate he starts with a wide stance and a slow load to the back side. Hands are lightning quick and swing path is level. During the live round he hit several hard into the left center gap. Exit Velocity was 90 MPH. In the field he is comfortable at either MIF position. He showed good athletic actions and quick hands. He throws from a high ¾ arm slot with a quick release, arm velocity was 83 MPH across the diamond.

Zach Rush SS / RHP / Fruita Monument , CO / 2019Rankings StateRank: 34 / POS: 5
6-foot-4, 200 pounds right hand hitter who ran a 4.5 home to first. At the plate stands tall and balanced. He has a short quick stride and quick hips through the zone. Long arms keep the barrel in the zone on a good swing plane and he showcased an 89 MPH exit velocity. In the field he shows good feet and soft hands. He moves well to his glove side and throws from a ¾ arm angle with a 74 MPH arm. On the mound he stands tall and gets good drive to the plate. He has good extension on the delivery and lands in-line with the plate. He showcased a 80 MPH fastball with good command inside and a 67 MPH curve with 10/4 break. He finished with a 64 MPH change down in the zone.

Tyler Shelley SS / RHP / Ponderosa, CO / 2019Rankings StateRank: 39 / POS: 7
A 5-foot-6, 145-pound left hand hitting, OF/INF/RHP. At the plate he hits from a balanced stance with a slow load on the pitch. Good lower leg drive on the swing. Hands come through the zone and create good whip. Exit velocity was 84 mph. Defensively, he can do it all. He shows good instincts and actions in the outfield, positions himself well and throws from an over the top arm slot. Arm was 86 mph from the outfield. When he moves to infield he shows good athletic actions, soft hands and a lightning quick glove to hand transfer. Throws are strong and accurate at 84 mph. On the mound, arm action is long and live, high ¾ slot. Fastball has straight life through the zone, sat 83-84 mph. Curveball has 12/6 shape, flashed tight spin, 65-69 mph. Changeup sinks, near fastball arm speed, 75-77 mph. He finished with a 67-68 mph slider with late movement away on the hitter.

Jackson VanZee SS / 2B / Grandview, CO / 2019Rankings StateRank: 52 / POS: 8
5-foot-10, 190-pound right hand hitter. Good looking shortstop with angular build and projectable body. Athletic in the field and smooth moving left and right, good feet and a quick glove transfer with a plus arm. At the plate he hits for power with 2 balls deep in the left center gap. Above average base runner.

Sam Low SS / 2B / Chatfield, CO / 2019Rankings StateRank: 53 / POS: 9
6-foot-0, 150-pound right hand hitting SS/2B who ran a 7.37 60. At the plate he stands slightly open with a long stride to come square. Lower half is solid through the zone creating good pull side power. Swing is long with extension out front. Exit velocity was 89 MPH with good bat control to all fields. In the field he comes through the ball and stays square on his delivery. Arm is accurate to the bag. Arm velocity was 85 MPH.
