PBR Colorado strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state.  While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

We recently did a series on the top uncommitted pop-times, 60-times, arm velos, and exit velocities. Now we are doing a series on our Top 5 overall numbers for each class.

Top 2017 RHP Arm Velocities:

Caleb Sloan, Regis Jesuit (Texas Christian)
Max Fastball Velocity: 93 MPH
A 6-foot-3, 210-pound right hand pitcher who stands tall and stays tall through his delivery.  He gets good lower leg drive and extension out front on his pitches.  Body stays in-line and stays square on his follow through.  Arm is over the top with good speed on all pitches.  His session consisted of a 91 MPH fastball that is thrown on both sides of the plate, a 73 MPH curve with 11/5 break and a 76 MPH change that works away from the right hand hitter.  He finished with a 77 MPH slider that has good back door break to a right hand hitter. This fall has touched 93 at multiple tournaments.

Liam Eddy, Brighton (Wichita State)
Max Fastball Velocity: 91MPH
6-foot-4, 175 pounds. The Wichita State commit was solid for 3 innings today giving up 2 hits and an unearned run. Fastball touched 90, and 91 once in the first inning then settled in at 88-89. Changeup was impressive at 78-80 from same arm speed as fastball. Curveball was 75-77 with sharp 11/5 break. From a high 3/4 arm slot his lower half stays in-line through the pitch and falls off slightly on the finish.

Jacob Hilton, Heritage (New Mexico)
Max Fastball Velocity: 90 MPH
6-foot-4, 205 pounds. The RHP was dominant today against Team Colorado Bard. Pitching 4 innings of shut-out baseball, Hilton utilized a fastball that was consistently 87-88 mph touching 90. The University of New Mexico commit has polished up his mechanics and pounds the strike zone. Effortless to the plate mixing in a 72 mph curveball at 11/5 tilt with late break, batters didn't have a chance today. Projectable frame can easily reach low to potential mid 90's with added strength.

James Notary, Broomfield (Texas Christian)
Max Fastball Velocity: 89 MPH
6-foot-3, 205 pounds. The Texas Christian Commit was very sharp today against a good Slammers Zavaras team. In 5 scoreless innings only gave up 1 hit and struck out 7. Fastball touched 89 in the first inning and settled in at 87-88. Slammers could not stay off a sharp 12/6 breaking ball at 71-72 mph. Comes from an over the top arm slot, and is uphill in the start of his delivery, but then has good led drive towards home that produces good down angle and extension. Drake Davis, Ralston Valley (Arizona State)
Max Fastball Velocity: 88 MPH
6-0, 175 pounds, the Arizona State commit was impressive in 3 innings of no-hit work against Cherokee Trail. Fastball was consistently 88 mph, and had a wipeout slider coming in at 77 with good depth. What we came away impressed with was how much he has cleaned up his motion to make it less effortless. Arm works real well and is quick. Square to the plate and pounded the strike zone. To see video Click Here
