Q&A with Grayson Headrick
Q: You attended the West Coast Games. When you left the event and headed back to Colorado, what was your overall impression of the event?
Headrick: I would have to say that after I left the West Coast Games my impression of the event was that I was part of a group of guys that got to start something awesome for the state of Colorado. We pretty much dominated down there and showed out against every other team. That hopefully put Colorado baseball on the map for the years to come.
Q: What has the recruiting process been like for you now and before the West Coast Games?
Headrick: Before the West Coast Games I was unranked and hardly got any recognition from colleges. After, I got posted by PBR and it basically took off.
Q: What was it like playing with some of the top talent in the nation at at the West Coast Games?
Headrick: It was awesome getting to play with some of the top talent. It was amazing getting to play with all the kids you’ve known since you were little but go to other schools.
Q: What are you most excited about for the ’22 high school season?
Headrick: I’m stoked for Columbine and my team to shock the state this upcoming season. We’ve been putting in the work and when you don’t really have a name for yourself as a program, it makes it easier for us to shock some teams. I think we’re gonna tear it up.
Q: Lastly, out of all the PBR events you have attended in your career, what has PBR meant to you during your time playing baseball in Colorado?
Headrick: PBR wasn’t very important or something I focused on when I first got into showcases/ recruiting until my friend Christian Foutch went to an event. After the event he told me about all these colleges calling him and he said I should go to one and that’s how I got into PBR.
