Pueblo Summer Open - Quick Hits

On Tuesday, July 18, the PBR Colorado crew was in Pueblo hosting a southern Colorado showcase event at CSU Pueblo's baseball complex. The event hosted 29 players from the classes of 2024-2027, let’s dive in.
Roy Higinbotham RHP / 1B / Pueblo County, CO / 2024Two-way talent from Pueblo County High School. He had a top pitching velocity of 84.8 on the mound with a 2200+ spin rate on the fastball. Strong athletic body at 6’ 200 lbs, showed solid speed running a 7.02 60. Balanced and straightforward at the plate averaging a 90 mph exit-velocity with a top of 94.6.

Jagger Kilpatrick RHP / OF / Niwot, CO / 2025A class of 2025 from Niwot High School, showed a quick arm and athletic delivery, up to 83.2 mph with room to gain in velocity in his 6’ 145 lb frame. Commands two different breaking balls in the low 70s and has the feel for a change-up.

Karter Vega-Hernandez SS / 2B / Fountain-Fort Carson , CO / 2026One of the younger players at the event, Karter represented well in all phases of the game. A 2026 graduate ran a sub 7 60, threw 78 across the diamond, and topped 86 mph exit-velocity as a hitter. Also, showed an 81 mph fastball with a 2125 spin rate. Look for Hernandez-Vega only to improve as he matures physically.

Brayden Walters 1B / RHP / Canon City, CO / 2024At 6’7’’, this athletic first baseman featured an exit-velocity of 93.5 mph and ran a sub-7 60. This class of 2024 prospect from Canon City High School has long limbs which provide deception and upside on the mound, where he features a low 80s fastball.

David J Brabb C / 1B / Rock Canyon, CO / 2024A physical presence behind and plate and in the box at 6’ 210lbs. As a Catcher, Brabb showed good footwork and arm strength, with a 1.94 pop time and 78 mph position velocity. He also showed 93+ mph exit velocity while finding the sweet spot 89% of the time as a hitter: Rock Canyon High School, class of 2024.

Keyan Lundvall SS / OF / Castle View, CO / 2025This class of 2025 athlete from Castle View High School continues to improve. He showed athleticism by running a 6.87 60. Shows good footwork and a feel to play middle-infield while possessing an above-average throwing arm. At the plate, he made barrel contact consistently and had a top exit velocity of 92 mph.

Jayden Rangel OF / SS / Pueblo East, CO / 2025Rangel was a standout at the event showcasing a 6.79 60 yard dash. The 2025 Pueblo East athlete has a line-drive swing that got up to an 85 mph exit-velocity while generating a 73 mph throw from the outfield.

Josiah Hall (Liberty North, MO) (2024) - The top hitter award went to Liberty North High School (Missouri) class of 2024 prospect. Hall had an exit velocity of 102.4 mph with an average exit velocity of 95. At 6’2’’ and 205 lbs, Hall possesses a strong and mature frame and ran a 7.0 60.
