Preseason All-State Stats Posted

The Prep Baseball Report’s Preseason All-State for 2015 and 2016 prospects took place this past Sunday at the Slammers South Facility in Englewood. 50 underclass prospects completed a pro-style workout for the PBR Colorado's Scouting Staff, several of whom are new to the staff.

Let’s take a look at the statistical breakdown from this March's Preseason All-State Participants
Top Fastball Velocity
No 4 2016 and No. 69 overall Paul Tillotson, RHP/OF out of Lewis Palmer touched 91 mph on the mound, sitting 89-90 mph pounding the the strike zone with three pitches which included a curveball that sat 68-72, and a change up that was 75-75
No 15 2016 Nate Sweeney, RHP, out of Cherry Creek H.S. was 88-89 and touched 90 mph with good down angle. Also mixed in a nasty 10/7 curve ball with nice tilt.
No 6 2016 and No. 175 overall Preston Snavley, RHP out of Fort Collins and Wichita State Commit, and No 9 2016 and No. 246 overall Austin Wood out of Silver Creek both were both 88 mph consistently
Flying under the radar Austin Gussman, LHP, out of Horizon, and No. 26 2016 Grant Schroeder, RHP/SS out of Grandview touched 86

No. 8 2015 and No. 307 overall Marc Mumper of Mountain Vista and Grand Canyon Commit wowed the crowd with a 3.78 indoor home to first time hitting off a tee indoors. Coming in second was No. 25 2016 Ryan Vottiero, OF, Regis Jesuit. Here are the top home to first times.

There was a strong display of bat speed at the Preseason All-State. No. 24 2016 Brandon Maes, C, Pueblo South led the way with 93 mph. No. 12 2015 Kyle Winkler, 3B/SS, Chatfield and Miami of Ohio commit had second best velo of 92 mph.
