Preseason All-State Quick Hits: 2023 Hitters

PARKER, CO-- On March 8, 2020, the PBR Colorado Staff held the Colorado Preseason All-State Showcase in Parker, Colorado. This invite event had wide ranging talent from 2020-2024’s. Highlighted by D1 Commits Tony Castonguay, 2020, C (Kansas) and Radek Birkholz, 2021, RHP/SS (Notre Dame), the All-State event also had some PBR newcomers make positive impressions With over 50+ prospects in attendance.

+ C/2B Cashel Dugger, (2023, Valor Christian) Displayed a pure LHH swing with line drive tendencies. Middle of Field approach, he found his path on variety of pitch locations. Will be great follow as he matures, gains strength. 5’8 140
+ SS/2B Finley Bates, (2023, Legend) RHH, displayed above average bat speed. Exit Velo 86. Finley is comfortable in box with attacking approach. Uses lower half well. Impressive actions at SS and impressive arm action on mound. Ball Player!
+ 1B/OF Brayden Pfeffer, (2023, Legend) RHH, spread out and stacked to rear side. Brayden Exit Velo: 85 showed sound mechanics with balance and aggressive approach.Easy to project his positive development. Very Good Athlete
+ 1B/3B JT Shank, (2023, Rock Canyon) LHH, Steps in Box with confidence. Displays balance, bat speed, great path and approach and has line drive tendencies. Exit Velo: 83 Can project future power. Baseball Junkie. Top Follow in 2023 Class
+ 2B/OF Chase Thomas, (2023, Severance) Undersized grinder with speed. Chase ran a impressive 6.99 60 and had a 87 Exit Velo. Not Bad for a 5’8” 155 pounder. Demonstrated bat speed and line drive tendencies. Lead off type.
