Scouting Report
1-28-18
6-foot-0, 192-pound right hand hitting 1B/RHP. 6-foot, 190 pounds. Bats and throws right. Big-body pitcher with some potential to throw pretty hard by the time he graduates. Fastball lived 79-80 mph, but there is more there, especially if he gets some more extension, and throws off two feet. Square shouldered Over the top arm angle makes him look taller on the mound, and creates good down angle. Curve had good late break with 12-6 shape. Could add some more velocity on Change.
8-5-17
A 5-foot-11, 183-pound right hand pitcher. Smooth mechanics and arm action on the mound. From balance he falls to the plate and stays on two feet during the pitch. He throws from an over the top arm slot and falls across his body on the follow through. Velocity should increase as he grows and drives to the plate. During the TPG he showcased an 80 MPH fastball which he located well away from the right hand hitter. He was able to mix in a 65 MPH curve with 11/5 break consistently for a strike which made his fastball more effective.
