Northern Colorado Preseason ID: Quick Hits

On Sunday, February 5th, PBR Colorado hosted the Northern Colorado Preseason ID at the Sport Stable in Superior. The event featured 40 players from the 2023-2026 grad classes. Below we will highlight some noticeable performers from the workout.
NORTHERN COLORADO PRESEASON ID: QUICK HITS

Elliot Goldman 2B / OF / Fairview, CO / 2023The 5-foot-11, 185-pound IF/OF showed athleticism, present strength, and good actions. Defensively his feet and hands work, with playable arm strength (86 mph). Offensively, his swing is compact with simple and efficient movements. His average EV was 87 mph, with a max of 93. |

Cole Honick OF / RHP / Rocky Mountain, CO / 2024The 5-foot-11, 150-pound 2-way was intriguing when we saw him last November, and he has been putting in the work since then. He has an athletic body with some twitch and shows baseball actions. His fastball showed better, improving to 85 mph. His curveball bumped to 70-72 with 2900+ average rpm. Offensively, his max EV was 94, averaging 87 mph. He also had the top outfield velocity on the day at 89 mph. He is still developing his skill set but has a solid foundation with room to fill out physically. |

Wrigley Cox SS / RHP / Rocky Mountain, CO / 2026The 6-foot, 155-pound 2-way showed well for a 2026 Grad. Defensively, his feet worked with solid actions. Offensively, his swing was simple and efficient, producing a max EV of 87 mph. His fastball reached 82 mph on the mound, with a feel for the curveball and change-up. With more projection in his body, he will be interesting to follow as he moves through high school. |

Luke Davenport RHP / SS / Legacy, CO / 2024The 5-foot-9, 160-pound 2-way showed raw arm strength on the mound with his fastball, sitting 85-88. He mixed in a curveball with 11/5 action, a slider with 2300+ RPM, and a change-up. There is athleticism with some burst in his delivery. Offensively, his swing was strong and compact, producing a max EV of 92, averaging 86. He has to keep developing and refining his skill set, but the tools are there. |

Caleb Korth 1B / LHP / Ponderosa , CO / 2026The 5-foot-10, 150-pound 2-way was 77-80 on the mound, with developing off-speed and overall command. Offensively, he was compact and simple with his swing, producing a max EV of 91 and averaging 88 mph. Defensively, his hands and feet worked around the bag at first base. For a 2026 Grad, he has a higher skill set, with room for continued development and physical maturity. |

Nick Wiley C / RHP / Regis Jesuit, CO / 2025The 6-foot-1, 170-pound 2-way has an athletic, strong frame with a loose arm. His fastball was 85-86, with some life to it. His offspeed offerings were a curveball at 72-75, with sweeping action, and a change-up at 76-77 with arm side fade. He also had a 1.95-2.03 pop time with a max EV of 90 mph. |

Xander Meissner 1B / RHP / Legend, CO / 2024The 6-foot-3, 185-pound 2-way showed present strength and whip in his bat. His max EV was 97 mph, averaging 90 mph. On the mound, his fastball was 81-82. The offspeed was a slider at 72 mph with downer action and a split change at 76 mph. |

Wade Hartrick C / SS / Deerfield Academy, CO / 2025The 6-foot-2, 190-pound 2-way showed present strength in his body. He has to keep working on the mound to refine his command, but he showed raw arm strength. The fastball was 87-89 with a change-up and slider at 79-81. Offensively, his max EV was 98 mph, averaging 89 mph. He also had the event's best pop time of 1.93.

Clay Alarid LHP / 1B / Rocky Mountain, CO / 2024The 6-foot-3, 185-pound 2-way will be interesting to follow on the mound. The fastball sat 79-81 mph, and he threw it for strikes. He also showed feel for a curveball and change-up. Looking at the body and arm action, it is not hard to envision that there is more velocity to come. |

Kenji Bray RHP / OF / Ralston Valley, CO / 2024The 6-foot, 165-pound pitcher filled the zone with all three pitches in his bullpen. His fastball was 82-84, with feel for a curveball and change-up. His body still has room to develop and fill out, which should aid in adding velocity. He had the most efficient pen of the event when showing command and potential pitch-ability. |
